What do you guys think about Brazil?

We don't really know much about Brazil sadly, it is too far to be of any interest to most russian people.
Stereotypically, it is thought to be part jungles (there are lots of wild monkeys there (thing about monkeys comes from soviet crosdresser comedy where dude tries to pass himself as a Brasilian chick by saying it)), part Amazon river (piranas live there which skewer human in 3 seconds). Also there are carnivals and Jesus statue.
Oh, football. Nearly forgot that as not fan myself. Yes, that is known too.
Knowing that it was an empire once, for instance, is an uncommon knowlege.
